The Aaliyah Burras 777 Foundation carries forward the legacy of a remarkable young woman: a Division I volleyball player, MBA graduate, and lifelong scholar.
We invest in the next generation of young women athletes through scholarships, mentorship, and opportunities that help turn potential into possibility.
Funded by our community and the annual Aaliyah Burras 777 Volleyball Tournament, every dollar raised supports student-athletes who reflect Aaliyah's work ethic, compassion, leadership, and joy.

Aaliyah Burras
Aaliyah Burras (2000 – 2024) was a standout volleyball player, academic achiever, and beloved community member. Known for her grace, drive, and leadership, she left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
A Louisiana native, Aaliyah graduated from Isidore Newman School before attending Nicholls State University on a full NCAA Division I volleyball scholarship. She remained on the Dean's List throughout her studies and earned a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2022.
In 2023, she continued her academic and athletic career at Midwestern State University in Texas, again receiving a full scholarship and graduating with a Master of Business Administration. During her graduate studies, she was named to the Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.
In 2024, her family established the Aaliyah Burras 777 Foundation and its signature volleyball tournament to celebrate her legacy and uplift the next generation of young women.
